The Moon holds power as it sways away
She chooses her will to hold in thine eyes
And thus your cruelty holds powerful ways
As you sing that sweet tearful lullaby.
My Lady, I tell thee what I do see,
Of the way the Moon takes hold of thine heart
And does make thee as its-self against me
And so has driven you to play apart.
Like the Moon holds sway, thee hast hold me too
Like the Moon turns round, to me thy back turned
You threw my love, as the Dark moon will do
Your many faces cause my blood to burn
You have skill of making many a boon
And thus you will remain, my mistress moon
This be a sonnet written in Shakespeares style that I writ for my Shakespeare class. If you know anything bout his sonnets, he refers much to the Dark Lady. This sonnet is to compare his Lady with that of the Moon. I hope it fares well for thee.
