((Okay, so I decided I'm finally gonna put a story up. Here it is))

Fark stood there, watching the darkness of the night as it swallowed her. Never before had he felt so, so alone. She was all he had left, his piece of emerald fire. Even now, he can see her flaming red hair swaying in the pitch blackness. Though she no longer looked at him, her pure emerald eyes glowed back at him, taunting him, telling him to never come looking.

He sits down on the steps, his head in his hands. Why would she do that? Why would she leave? "Heh..." He starts laughing. The sound flills the air, completes it. It turns merciless. The sound has no heart. Windows and doors slam shut, babies begin to wail as the black laugh pierces their delicate ears.

Then he gets up and starts walking, down the steps and out into the night. If any doorways were left open, they were shut upon his passing. He was a terible sight to behold. His short hair stood on end, one eye glowed demonistic, the other a blazing, bloody cats, and his height overwhelmed all. But worse than that was the pure, hated darkness that followed him, circling him, creating him. He followed where she had gone. The dark leading, showing the way. she said not to come looking, yet he still follows.

Unbeknownst to him, or the darkness he has, a figure follows. People whisper out their doors and windows, for the child not to follow. It's a demon, they said, and only another can stop it. et the figure persists stalking from shadow to shadow.

She knows him, and his pain. The rest don't understand this, but that's alright. She will follow and offer her help the best her knowledge can give. So it's always been, though she has never had to intervene. Now, though, this time, she must. She'll wait till the time comes and she'll do the one thign he never thought was possible. He's not alone.

As he walks, the dark swirls about him. Everything is swallowed that comes near. He begins to run. He will catch up with her, she is his. His emerald, his flame, is own deisire. He's caught her scent, sight of the fire.

The shadow sped up. He was going to catch that woman and rip her apart. The shadow follows, the girl was within reaching distance. She put out a hand and entered the dark. It burned like fire. She pushes on. Her hand touched a shoulder, then the whole brunt of the dark and hs mercilessness turned on her alone.

A scream filled the air. No, two screams. She burned but didn't let go. He screamed at her for stopping him. That's when the emerald fire turned and saw him. Then she turned again and ran. Fark wanted to follow, the dark wanted to follow but the girl held on. She had to help him, again.

As he turned to give chase to the fire nymph, she placed her other hand upon his other shoulder and made him face her. She brought his face close to hers. His demonic eyes glared into her own eyes. The darkness tried to overwhelm her mind. She held strong. Her one purple eye and one blood red eye, both stared into his, making him back down with her will.

Slowly, oh so slowly, hiis eyes regain normality. She speaks softly to him, telling him that, no matter what he is never truely alone. No matter how many times he goes into, or out of, relationships, she will always be there for him. Even if he becomes this monster demon again, she will always be his friend. The darkness shrieks and withers as she speaks her words. Eventually it disappears, leaving him in her arms, shaking.

Now that the man was back, the shadow girl, Kaysa, pulled him to his feet and pointed towards the way the fire had gone. "If you wish her back, go. That way will be hard for you but I believe you and that emerald belong. Take back your Lalissa."

Fark stared a moment. Kaysa said, "Don't worry. I am always here. Watching and protecting." He nodded, then dashed off towards the one he belonged to.

She watched, her different eyes glazed over with pain. She knew it was right. Then she fell, her brown hari becoming black and her bright eyes dull, closed forever.
